We are seeking a Teaching Fellow, with qualifications and experience working as a Physician Associate or equivalent healthcare professional and some experience of clinical skills teaching and assessment, to support the team of academic and professional services staff in the delivery of our MBChB and Masters in Physician Associate Studies programmes.
The School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSN) utilises a multi-professional team to teach across programmes. The MBChB programme has been ranked as the top programme in the UK by this year\xe2\x80\x99s Guardian university ranking. The School is proud to deliver the only programme in Scotland that provides a pathway to a career as a Physician Associate. This two-year full-time programme has had over 130 graduates over the last decade and continues to grow,2023 makes the 10th anniversary of the first graduates from this programme.
Medical and Physician Associate students spend their initial training based at the Foresterhill health campus learning knowledge, skills and professional attitudes in the excellent classroom and clinical skills facilities provided in the Suttie Centre for Teaching and Learning in Healthcare. In later years students focus on learning in the clinical context and rotate through a wide range of placements.
The post holder(s) will join an enthusiastic team of educators who work across programmes to give students an excellent teaching and learning experience. This post is based in the Suttie Centre at the Foresterhill Health Campus.This team is supported by the experienced and vibrant academic and professional services support teams in the Institute for Education in Healthcare and Medical Sciences (IEHMS) within SMMSN and wider university.
Support will be given to allow the post holder(s) to continue to develop their teaching and curriculum management skills and to participate in the wider educational work of the School.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6, 20% of \xc2\xa337,099 - \xc2\xa344,263 per annum, pro rata and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
