Overview

We are seeking a teaching assistant to join our happy, friendly team to start as soon as possible. The post involves working to support individual pupils and groups of pupils. A strong background in maths and English is ideal for this role and previous experience of working with children in a primary setting would be an advantage but not essential.

This is a fixed term post commencing in January 2024 and ending on 31st August 2024; however the contract will be reviewed on March 2024.

Term time only

Salary Type: Bucks pay

Salary details: Range 1b Point 6 to 10 (depending upon experience) \xc2\xa320,297.00 to \xc2\xa321,223.00 pro rata 39 weeks per annum

Contract type: Fixed Term

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.40am to 3.15pm with half hour lunch break

About the role

You will provide support to either a small group of pupils or 1:1 under the direction of the class teacher, mainly within the classroom.

You will assist in promoting the learning and personal development of pupils enabling them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them.

This role may include regular intimate care - \'intimate care\' means doing tasks involving close personal contact that someone can\'t do independently. This includes changing nappies and helping a pupil use the toilet.

In addition, there will be a daily \xc2\xbd hour lunch duty and some mid-morning break duties.
