TEACHING ASSISTANT LEVEL 1
The Headteacher and Governing Body of this successful school are looking to appoint a kind and caring Teaching Assistant who will have a significant impact on learning of an EYFS pupil with additional needs.
The pupil has a diagnosis of autism and has other underlying medical conditions.
This will be on a 1:1 basis and will be working in EYFS.
You will have the following skills:
Ability to use or willingness to learn Makaton and other forms of communication.
Understanding or willingness to take on training with regards to autism.
Willingness to administer intimate care.
As part of the role you will also support F1 children at lunch time with eating, toileting and play
you will:
Be flexible around the needs of the school and pupils.
Be a committed Teaching Assistant and work in line with the school behaviour policy
Be able to modify challenging behaviour in a firm but supportive manner
Be child centred
Be flexible with a good sense of humour
