Teaching Assistants Wanted in Primary and Secondary Schools in Derby and Derbyshire schools

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated individual seeking a rewarding career in education? Standby Education is looking for teaching assistants--ideally degree-qualified or currently studying--to join our supply team in primary and secondary schools across Stoke and Staffordshire.

85 - 100 per day, Monday to Friday

Flexible work schedule:

Daily hours from approx. 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, totalling 32.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:

Support classroom instruction and assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons Provide classroom supervision and manage student behaviour Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual student needs Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications and Experience:

Ideally, a degree qualification or currently working towards one Previous experience with children or young people in educational or care settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting student learning Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other school staff Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or a related field are preferred but not essential
