Job Description

Career Teachers are currently looking for a TA to work 1-2-1 with an autistic student at a school near Pontefract. This is an immediate and ongoing requirement.

You must be a confident, friendly, and flexible person who has excellent behaviour management skills, as well as a good knowledge of the National Curriculum. You would be at a distinct advantage if you have experience in supporting children with autism.

You would be required to support a child most likely on a 1-1 basis to assist the student with their learning. You would work closely with the class teacher and other teaching staff to help facilitate high quality lessons. You should be someone that can encourage positive behaviour, be a great role model, but also be able to handle the challenges of working in this type of setting.
