About the role
As part of our team of Maths Teachers, you will plan and deliver a range of engaging lessons that cater to all students across KS3 - 5. Our pupils have a strong interest in this subject. Class sizes are small, and you will be supported by a very experienced member of the team. Our curriculum is focused on practical applications of mathematics, helping students to understand and appreciate the subject in their everyday lives. We do not follow a GCSE syllabus; however, we offer a range of qualifications from entry Level to Level 2. Our main priority is for our students to develop a love for mathematics, enabling them to apply mathematical concepts confidently while building emotional resilience and self-confidence.
As an SEN Teacher of Mathematics, you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who consistently demonstrates the highest standards of delivery. You will be fully committed to raising engagement across your subject area and acutely aware of the strategies required to achieve the highest standards.

The successful candidate will have a range of key competencies and skills for the role.
1) Friendly, caring and organised professional with a good sense of humour.
2) Excellent classroom practitioner with a range of teaching skills, knowledge and understanding of supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
3) Good levels of inter-personal skills enabling effective relationship building with pupils and collaborative working with colleagues.
4) To be able to draw upon a range of behaviour management techniques to support learners.

You will be supported by a comprehensive induction and training program and line managed by a highly experienced member of staff from Stony Dean School.
