Teacher of Lexis - Functional Skills Mathematics

[Part-Time Fixed term Contract until 12 July 2024 - 27.75 hours per week/0.75 Contract]

We are looking for a part-time teacher to join our Lexis teaching team at the Roundhouse.

You will be a dedicated and motivated professional ready to provide an innovative, dynamic and responsive delivery of Functional Skills Mathematics from pre-entry level to level 2 to 16 - 18-year-old students who are English speakers of Other Languages.

You will need a Mathematics qualification and your primary experience needs to be delivering functional skills mathematics, preferably to ESOL students.

The post will involve working with students whose English skills range from a pre-entry level up to level 1.

You will be responsible for planning schemes of work and lessons, setting and marking assignments, keeping student portfolios up to date and entering student data on our administrative system. Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential in this role.

In addition, candidates will also need a teaching qualification, and you will have achieved a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Mathematics and English.
