We are looking to appoint a positive and adaptable French teacher to join our Languages department at Orchard Park High School; a warm, happy and high achieving secondary school, located in Shirley, Croydon. Main responsibilities:
Working within the languages department to contribute to raising student achievement and the continued development of the department
Teach the French curriculum across the ability range to years 7-11
Contribute to enrichment and intervention supports within the French department
Applications from NQTs and experienced staff will be equally valued
To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a Teacher/Tutor.
To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
To share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
You will need:
To hold a recognised degree (or equivalent) with a good classification in a relevant subject teaching qualification (QTS)
Commitment to own self development
Successful experience of teaching French in previous school
Experience of teaching to at least GCSE
Experience as a form tutor and/or pastoral work
