Unique School Solutions are supporting a Secondary School in the Barnsley area to appoint a Teacher of Art on a full-time basis starting as soon as possible.
Essential requirements for the role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Art subject knowledge
- Experience of teaching, learning and assessment to at least KS3/4, preferably KS5
- Passion for subject specialism
- Good understanding of curriculum developments
Responsibilities for the role:
- Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
- Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons
- Adapt teaching to respond to strengths and needs of all pupils
- Make accurate and productive use of assessment
- Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
- Fulfill wider professional responsibilities such as communicating effectively with parents/carers
