Location: Wessex Lodge School, Frome, Somerset Salary: \xc2\xa332,000 upwards per annum Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Contract: Full Time, Permanent Must be UK based We are looking for an experienced Class Teacher to join our fantastic team at Wessex Lodge School, Frome. About the role As a Class Teacher and under the reasonable direction of the Head Teacher, carry out the professional duties of a teacher as outlined in the job description. You will ensure provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying in the curriculum area, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies. You will contribute to raising standards of student attainment and to facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their full potential. You will develop and enhance the teaching practice of others and to monitor and support the overall progress and development of students within the curriculum area. Educated to Qualified Teacher Status, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential. Purpose of the Job:

• To ensure you contribute to the highest possible levels of safeguarding across the school.
• To deliver and drive outstanding teaching and learning across the school.
• To support the whole school e-safety working alongside the PSHE lead and DSL to ensure appropriate curriculum coverage and outcomes
• To teach a class as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the school\xe2\x80\x99s curriculum

About us Wessex Lodge School comprises of two main sites: Wessex Lodge School, the main school where classroom-based activities take place, the second site being Newmead Farm, located in Maiden Bradley and allows students the opportunity to explore subject paths which would otherwise not be available to them. We have grown to support 40 students, aged 8-18 years old. Each student has individual needs based on developmental challenges, Social and Emotional Mental Health difficulties or Autism. We support them using individual plans and the THRIVE approach. Wessex Lodge offers all students an individualised education to improve life outcomes.
