Science Teacher - needed for a nurturing Independent School
Do you want to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable young people?
Could you inspire children and teenagers with creative lessons?
If so, we would love you to join our team: challenge yourself, connect with your community and pass on the love of creativity.
We are currently going through an exciting period of expansion, with plans to open a brand new Learning Hub in South London in September this year. As a result, we are growing our team of teachers and support staff. Next year we will be able to help more young people and offer a more complete educational experience than ever before. If you would like to be part of this journey, we would love to hear from you.
Who we are
We are an alternative school and education charity with a 20-year track record, built on an ethos of creative and individualised learning. Students come to us when they need a new approach. The education we provide is tailor-made for each child, based on their needs and interests. Teachers have the freedom to adapt the curriculum, using creativity to bring lessons alive.
The role
We are looking for a Science Teacher to teach small groups and individual students at our Learning Hubs in Shoreditch and/or Bermondsey. Our students are typically not suited to mainstream education due to SEN, medical needs, or SEMH. The work is varied, challenging, incredibly rewarding. Our aim is to use creative means to inspire students. This approach has helped us to engage some of the most hard to reach young people and we are proud that, over the years, we have turned many of their lives around. You will be supported by our office education team and the Department Head. The goal is to help your student(s) learn creatively, grow socially and achieve academically.
