This professional services firm is looking for an individual to enter the firm as an Associate Director with the task to manage their own portfolio of clients, whistle aiding the firm throughout their growth period.
Within the Corporate Tax division, the Associate Director will be tasked to manage their own portfolio of clients, working closely alongside the Partners/Directors or alone on complicated consultancy and advisory projects. A main focus of the role will entail business development of existing and new clients as well as potentially developing a specialist field of technical and/or sector knowledge and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Client Work
- Act as a trusted advisor and engage with clients on wider commercial and strategic issues.
- Manage portfolio of complex advisory and compliance cases.
- Provide exceptional client service, taking control and developing client relationships.
- Having the ability to identify opportunities on client\'s portfolios.
Staff Management and Development
- Consistent communication with Partners.
- Conduct appraisals and monitor staff performance, acting as ADR managers for some staff.
- Work collaboratively with peers in the team, dealing with staff questioning.
Practice Development
- Involved in business development activities/profile raising locally.
- Able to take advantage of marketing/PR opportunities, actively using networks of established relationships to drive new business opportunities.
Personal Development (Technical & Other)
- Internal and external seminars and courses, along with internal meetings and training\'s to develop your skill set.
Key Skills and Experience
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience of business tax services to clients within a variety of sectors, gained within a professional services firm or boutique advisory practice.
- Proven complex client experience and client handling experiences.
- Degree Educated along with professional qualifications (Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser).
- Customer Focus - core aspect of role is to provide excellent service to clients.
- Networking - you must be a skilled at developing and growing relationships in the wider market and leveraging these to create opportunities for the business.
