Tax and Accountancy Apprentice

This is a fantastic entry-level role for someone looking to start their career in accountancy. Or for someone to grow on their already established knowledge and experience, You'll receive hands-on experience while working towards a professional qualification.

Responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies Supporting the preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns Helping to prepare and file VAT returns and maintain bookkeeping records Managing Companies House filings such as confirmation statements and director updates Supporting the team with client onboarding, AML checks and engagement letters Assisting with client communications and responding to queries Gaining exposure to tax planning, company start-ups and other advisory work Liaising with HMRC and other third parties on behalf of clients
Requirements:

A strong desire to build a career in accountancy and tax Good numerical and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient in Microsoft Office - especially Excel Experience with Xero or other accounting software is a plus, but training will be provided Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
