The role:
This role is accountable for the planning, development and successful delivery of the global learning and capability strategy across the agency. This role ensures that we have a firm understanding of our current and future capability and skills needs, and that our learning offer equips our people with the skills, behaviours, and development they need to do their best work.
The person will also be responsible for the leadership of a global team, ensuring that the global strategy reflects the needs of the agency and our clients, and that learning programmes are seamlessly executed and delivered with positive impact.

Accountabilities
Learning & Capability strategy
Development of the learning strategy, including technical skills, behavioural development, and professional development so that all our people have the skills they need to do their best work for our clients.
Learning programmes & culture
Direct and oversee the development of learning programmes, training and initiatives spanning leadership development, people management, technical skills, and behavioural development. Ensure programmes are aligned with the needs of the agency and that a range of learning and delivery methods are used to deliver with positive impact, and at scale. The role also is responsible for looking beyond training programmes at how we create opportunities for our people to learn every day.
People Experience
This role works closely with the Director, People Experience and Head of People Experience to ensure that learning and capability isn\'t viewed in isolation, and that it contributes and shapes the overall experience that we create for our people at every step of their EssenceMediacom career. Collaborating closely across the People team (including global, regional and Group teams) will be critical, and actively searching out opportunities to \'connect the dots\' is a must in this role.
Stakeholder management
Working within a highly matrixed and complex organisation, this role is responsible for creating and maintaining effective relationships with several key stakeholders, including Group colleagues, market CEOs, ExCo members, Regional Chief People Officers, and the wider People team. The role will bring together the best of all the learning available from GroupM, WPP and EssenceMediacom to create a compelling learning offer to our people.
Leadership
Leadership of a global team with a variety of skillsets across several geographies. This role will create and develop a team who have a deep understanding of the business, who can work at pace to develop and deliver learning programmes at scale, and who role model our Culture Principles and a learning mindset.
