About The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Team Lead to join our Systems Development team at FDM. This role is pivotal in driving our global IT development and deployment initiatives, with a strong focus on .NET C# and MuleSoft technologies.As the Development Team Lead, you will oversee a team of developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical solutions that meet business needs. You'll work across the entire software development lifecycle-from design through deployment-while also contributing to architectural decisions, platform strategy, and best practice governance. The role is office based 4 days a week with a Friday working from home.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and fostering continuous growth.
  • Ensure timely delivery of applications and projects across the global FDM estate.
  • Design and document technical solutions for new and existing business applications.
  • Conduct and oversee peer code reviews and enforce high-quality coding standards.
  • Own the technical roadmap for core platforms including MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and CloudHub.
  • Drive the reuse and evolution of core reusable assets (C4E) and API lifecycle automation.
  • Collaborate with product vendors (e.g., MuleSoft) to align on platform capabilities and enhancements.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for critical platform support issues.
  • Guide and enforce API-led connectivity principles and platform governance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (BA, Architects, Dev, Ops) to ensure end-to-end project success.
  • Identify technical risks and architectural challenges while promoting best practices.
  • Support strategic initiatives with technical design expertise.
  • Collaborate with the GRC team to ensure privacy is by default design in all architecture, integrations and deployments.
