A leading pharmaceuticals organisation in Manchester are looking for a Synthetic Chemist to join their growing team. This company works on medicinal chemistry, synthesising drug molecules and more. This is a great opportunity to join this expanding company which is accessible by car and has on-site parking.
The Job
As a Synthetic Chemist you will work within a fast-paced laboratory environment on medicinal chemistry and carry out a range of duties, including;
- Planning and performing a variety of experiments to synthesise drug molecules
- Work on the purification and characterisation of products
- Preparing reports on results
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of a BSc or MChem in Chemistry or a relevant scientific subject
- Good knowledge and experience of synthetic organic chemistry
- A PhD or industrial experience, although a final year BSc/MChem project with significant synthetic chemistry could also be considered
