About the Role:


The Syndication Editor curates, optimizes, and publishes IGNE-produced videos, gameplay clips, and provides assets to IGNE's owned and operated video channels, including (but not limited to) IGN, Eurogamer, and GameTrailers. The Syndication Editor will also be responsible for data gathering and internal presentations of the findings, spotlighting wins and losses and passing insight on to the editorial and video teams. The Syndication Editor will also support the US-based syndication team during tent-pole events like (but not limited to) IGN Summer of Gaming, Gamescom, and San Diego Comic-Con. On occasion, travel to these events and working outside of regular hours will be required as well.

Key Responsibilities:

Publish and syndicate game and movie trailers on IGN.com and our YouTube network. Handling publish requests and prioritising YouTube publish times based on embargoes and optimisation. Optimising YouTube videos for publishing, including custom YouTube thumbnails, Search Engine Optimization, and using YT tools (cards, end screens, playlists) to maximise visibility and engagement on the YT platform. Clear and consistent communication with producers and stakeholders. Communication with third parties in regards to permissions and access for acquired assets. Regular updates to our YouTube channels to promote the latest and most relevant videos/playlists. Update and optimise art and metadata across our YouTube network to maximise views per video and engagement. Contribute to our YouTube community tab strategy, creating posts about topical content and making smart scheduling decisions. Collect and use data to optimise video and channel performance. Minor video editing duties on rare occasions.

Job Qualifications:

Knowledgeable of current events/trends in gaming and entertainment industries. Experience with social platforms and comment moderation. An understanding of IGNE's brands and communities. An up-to-date understanding of the YouTube platform. Experience in content creation and/or content management. Experience editing in Adobe Premiere. Experience in Adobe Photoshop. An understanding and passion for SEO best practices.

Work Environment:

Work Schedule:

Standard full-time working schedule, M-F. On rare occasions, there may be an expectation for this role to work outside of a standard working schedule after hours or on weekends, to support our team's coverage of major game launches or other big events.

Travel Requirements:

Travel will be required for this role during certain events, for example, gamescom in Germany.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves typical office and computer-based activities, including prolonged periods of sitting or standing and frequent use of hands, fingers, and vision for tasks such as operating a computer, mouse, and keyboard. Occasional travel is required, which could include lifting and carrying materials, and navigating airports, hotels, and other venues. Work Model:

This is a Hybrid role with an expectation to work from the London office, no less than two (2) days per week.
