We will provide all the training needed to be a successful Swim Teacher but we also believe that employing people from a mix of employment backgrounds can offer a wider benefit to our team, some of which might be in their first ever job and need more support from their manager and colleagues.Come and join our friendly and professional Swim Teaching Team at Stour Leisure Centre. The centre re-opened on 1st June 2021 and has constantly grown with new members joining every day. Our centre provides swimming lessons over 7 days a week, to include mornings and evenings, our centre includes a large gym, three studios, large pool space, new soft play facility for up to 150 children, an 11-wall clip and climb facility, an 8-court sports hall, a cafxc3xa9 and squash courts.In the role of Swim Teacher, you will deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals.If you want to progress further, we will support this through additional training, both formal and on the job will be key. However, we also appreciate that not everyone wants to 'move up the ladder' and that's absolutely fine with us. • To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre's swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
• To communicate with the children's parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
• To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
• Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
• An ability to deal with children and their parents
• Level 2 swimming teaching qualification
• DBS check
