Job Overview

We are seeking kind, caring and enthusiastic individuals to join our team of amazing Swim Instructors at Pool Stars. At Pool Stars we pride ourselves on being relational, inclusive and engaging. We are driven to provide children of all ages (from birth) with fun and nurturing swimming sessions. We keep our group sizes small to ensure that all of our swimmers receive the attention that they need to develop into confident and safe swimmers. We operate out of a small, warm and welcoming private swimming pool in Wyboston, Bedford. We would welcome applications from Level 2 qualified teachers, Parent and Child teachers and unqualified individuals with a passion for working with children. We operate during term time only (42 weeks a year) with holiday entitlement paid monthly. Due to our continued fast growth we have a number of vacancies for the following times:

Monday - 3.15pm - 19.00pm

Tuesday - 3.00pm - 19.15pm

Wednesday - 3.00pm - 19.00pm

Thursday - 3.00pm - 19.00pm

Friday - 3.00pm - 19.00pm

Saturday - 8.00 - 14.00pm

Duties

Conduct swimming lessons for various age groups, from parent and baby swimmers to advanced swimmers. Develop lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of each student. Educate students on water safety practices and the importance of swimming skills. Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their performance. Maintain a safe and clean environment in and around the swimming area. Communicate effectively with students and their guardians regarding progress, concerns, and achievements. Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve teaching techniques and stay updated on best practices in swim instruction. Complete operational tasks including following opening and closing protocols and cleaning of the facility.

Experience

Previous experience in sports coaching or swim instruction is highly desirable. A background in education or child development can be an advantage. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages. A passion for swimming and promoting physical fitness is essential. Certification in lifeguarding or first aid is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: 14.00-20.00 per hour
