Job Summary



We are seeking a Supported Internship Tutor to be based at the Amazon Site, Poole to support to our learners and have overall responsibility for delivery of Project Search at Amazon, Poole.

Duties



To deliver educational components of the Supported Internship parts of Project Search To Act as the initial point of contact between SWRAC and BCP Council To act as the liaison between SWRAC and the Work Coach provider To attend Project Search progress/management meetings To be main point of contact between SWRAC and parents/carers Preparation of course/training materials Completion of all necessary Project Search paperwork Completion of external paperwork as required in a timely manner Maintaining the quality of the learner programme to a sufficient standard to pass IQA and EQA criteria Completion of learner and delivery paperwork as required in a timely manner Initial Assessment and diagnostic of the learner needs including English and maths using company standards Deliver embedded English and maths skills To attend business networking events to promote the activities of SWRAC Meeting with the delivery requirements of the DFN Project Search programme To support learners with LDD/SEND in a variety of classroom settings To work closely with team members to ensure that ILP targets are monitored and reviewed To be aware of individual learner's risk assessments and needs Encourage independence and self-help skills wherever possible.

Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent) Teaching qualification Behaviour qualifications SEND qualifications
Skills/Competencies

Excellent communication and calculation skills Be competent at IT Good organisational skills Effective team player Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to supervise students effectively both in college and out of the centre in line with the behaviour policy Ability to work in partnership with parents/carers and teachers Ability to use own initiative and work flexibility Ability to support learners with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. Innovative thinker with ability to adapt teaching and support strategies. Ability to prioritise workload. Ability to manage challenging situations and a demanding working environment.
Knowledge

Understanding of working with young adults who have SEND/behavioural difficulties Understanding of behaviour management strategies Understanding of relevant polices /codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation General understanding of curriculum and other basic learning programmes/strategies Ability to relate well to vulnerable young adults Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these settings
Experience

Experience of working with challenging young people in an educational establishment Working with vulnerable young people with learning disabilities or challenging emotional and behavioural difficulties of the relevant

Pay: 29,700.00-32,700.00 per year
