Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Duties

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the healthcare team. Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care delivery. Drive to patients' homes as required, ensuring safe transportation.

Requirements

Previous experience in a healthcare or caring role is desirable, particularly in home care or care home settings. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with patients and team members. Ability to follow care plans meticulously and adapt to changing patient needs. Basic IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation. A valid driving licence is advantageous for this role. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial.
