About the Service
Hob Meadow is a supportive residential home for eight adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
In your new role as Support Worker, you will:
Build relationships with residents, which are open and two way
Support Residents to undertake their daily routines
Establish methods of communication with residents, reducing barriers when necessary
Accurately report and/or record work activities
Support with activities of daily living & personal care
Assist residents with mealtimes where necessary.
As Support Worker, you will ideally have:
Experience working within a Care environment (Advantageous but not essential as full induction training will be given)
A warm hearted, friendly manner, patience, kindness and good communication, a willingness to help others, requiring patience
An open and honest character, respectful and celebrate diversity, connect with colleagues and residents to celebrate uniqueness
The ability to be a natural care giver and someone who can communicate in an open and honest manner with your colleagues, residents and their visitors
