Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, home care, and nursing homes. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients while promoting their independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and medication administration. Assist with behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs, including those with dementia. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate personnel. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to hygiene standards and protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.

Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, home care, or hospice care is highly desirable. Familiarity with patient care techniques, including medication administration and meal preparation. Experience working with individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments is advantageous. A background in childcare may also be beneficial for certain roles within our organisation. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
