At the Hennessy Partnership, we are looking for dedicated Support Workers in Leyland (PR25) to join our fantastic team supporting vulnerable adults with a mixture of care and support needs. Although experience is desirable, we will fully train you to ensure you have all the skills needed to provide the very highest standard of care and support to the people we care for.
We support people with Dementia, Mental Health Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Physical Disabilities and behaviours that may challenge.
Being a Support Worker means you are integral to the day to day lives of the people you support. Helping them with various activities such as assistance with personal care, social inclusion, maintaining health and well-being and being the linchpin to their quality of life.
Being a driver is preferable but not essential. You will need to be able to work flexibly across a 7 - day rota to include early mornings, evenings, bank holidays, weekends and nights.
Support work offers you a chance to make a genuine difference in people's lives, and no one day will be the same! You really will have the platform in our services to 'Make a Difference Everyday.'
You will hold people's dignity, respect, privacy, choice and independence at the forefront of your approach to ensure you're always delivering person-centred care and support to the people we care for.
All our Support Workers complete a comprehensive in-service one-week induction programme and one week of shadow shifts before working with the people we support.
Those staff members joining us who have not previously worked in care will be supported with completing the Care Certificate. At the Hennessy Partnership, you will be enrolled on our excellent e-learning programmes and face-to-face training and development sessions to enhance and refresh your skills and knowledge.
