Who you\'ll be supporting & more about the role:

Who will you be supporting?
  • The people we support ages range between 23 to 31.
  • Each individual is quite independent and mobile, and they only need verbal prompts
  • Each individual we support all have different challenges which include Autism, learning disabilities and mental health
  • We have amazing staff team who are all trained and familiar with supporting their needs
What is important to the people we support?
  • We are proud of the homely environment that we have created, we take pride in our home.
  • We like to go shopping, to the cinema, for meals out, parties, the theatre and just general socialising
  • We all have different day centres that we like to go to, our weekly planner is always full of activities to do throughout the week as some of us thrive of a structured routine and like to be busy.
  • One of the gentlemen in our home aspires to gain more independence by getting a volunteering job out in the community.
  • We all like to use the local amenities, We also use the local shops and bars.
What is the home like?
  • Our house is a Victorian detached property with 5 bedrooms and a sleep-in room, located over 3 floors
  • Our house has 3 stories with a cellar underneath
  • We have a small garden located to the rear of the house, were we like to have BBQs in the summer.
  • We also have a sensory room on the top floor of our home, where we like to host discos and do arts and crafts together.
  • We share the lounge/dining room and kitchen area. A couple of us like to sit in the living room while having dinner to watch TV, we really like watching the news.
  • We are located on a main road with a good bus service, we have a bus stop right outside the our home and one over the road.
  • We have an end house, so there is parking down the side of our home.
  • We get along with majority of our neighbours.
