Support Worker - Leatherhead Support Service

Location: Leatherhead, KT22 8ET

Salary: \xc2\xa310.52 per hour.

• Shift rate: \xc2\xa310.52 per hour weekdays and weekends up to 37.5 hours.
• Overtime rate: Weekdays \xc2\xa310.52 per hour and weekends \xc2\xa313.99.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7.00 am - 3.00 pm, 9.00 am-5.00 pm, 1.00 pm - 9.00 pm, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis. You are required to work every other weekend, both Saturday and Sunday but will receive a day off either side of your scheduled weekend.

Employment type: Full time, Permanent.

• Develop professionally to achieve professional qualifications - Care Certificate, QCF levels 2-5, at no cost to you! (Unqualified rate \xc2\xa39.90per hour).

The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same. Our residents are individuals, and they all deserve to be treated as such. Duties may include supporting with personal care needs, as well as helping them to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing such as arts and crafts, watching the football, drama, musical evenings, gardening, shopping trips and social occasions.

Who will you be supporting?

Leatherhead Support Service provides supported living services for adults with visual impairment and learning disabilities. We specialise in supporting and assisting people with sight loss and offer individual personalised support in people\'s own homes which range from 7.5 to 38 hours per week. This may be assisting with reading mail, shopping, everyday household chores and low-level personal care (wet shaving, washing hair and hard to reach places). We aim to excel as a specialist provider of quality care and support, ensuring the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.

We provide support to 20 individuals, aged between 52 to 87 who are determined to live life to the full, with supported independence. No two days are the same, our individuals enjoy going out into the community shopping, for dinner, going swimming, visiting pubs and places of worship. Ultimately, you will be supporting our individuals to feel safe in their homes and out in the community.

Our homes each have their own welcoming and experienced team of Support Workers, Deputy\'s and Managers who will assist you in your journey and help your professional development.
