Position Available: Support Worker The Community Recruiter is pleased to be working in partnership with Westcountry Case Management to find a Support Worker. Join our dedicated team as a Support Worker and make a positive impact in the life of a sociable and joyful young child with a learning disability and Cerebral palsy. The role involves providing exceptional support to our client, who resides in the Canton area of Cardiff alongside her mother. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is patient and compassionate, capable of creating meaningful social and leisure opportunities for our client. Your responsibilities will include engaging in various enjoyable activities such as swimming, dancing, and gymnastics. Additionally, you will collaborate with our Multi-disciplinary Team, implementing prescribed therapies. Full training will be provided to ensure your success in this role, with our team comprised of professionals including an occupational therapist, speech and language therapist, physiotherapist, and paediatric neuropsychologist. Our client delights in socializing, playing in her therapy playroom, using her iPad, and taking walks in the local area. Qualifications and Requirements: - Experience in caring for individuals with physical and learning disabilities. - Understanding of special educational needs and cerebral palsy is desirable. - Full driving license and own car are essential. - Registration with or working towards registration with Social Care Wales. - Desirable: Recognized Health and Social Care qualification (Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent), competent IT skills. Working Hours: 16 hours per week - Tuesday: 4 pm \xe2\x80\x93 8 pm - Wednesday: 4 pm \xe2\x80\x93 8 pm - Saturday: Midday \xe2\x80\x93 4 pm - 4 additional flexible hours to suit client and support worker. Remuneration: - Weekdays: \xc2\xa314.00 per hour - Weekends: \xc2\xa316.00 per hour - \xc2\xa30.45 per mile when using your car to transport the client.
