Job Title: Support Supervisor within a vegan cafe

We Aim to develop a Training Centre of Excellence



Working as part of a small team providing high quality and supportive training to students that are looking to progress into full time employment or just needing to reintegrate into society. This will be done within an environment that is relevant to the hospitality industry whilst providing additional support for any barriers that our students may have encountered.

Rascals is a commercially run training cafe/bistro that supports and trains people who have struggled in life to find a route into employment. Rascals is the trading arm of the charity Starting Step.



Responsible for designing, creating, delivering, managing and monitoring training needs for our students.

Be able to conduct needs assessment, develop and evaluate training modules.

Salary : Scale from 18,000 to 24,000 pro rata

Annual Leave: 25 days

Main duties and Responsibilities:



Collaborate with internal teams to identify training needs for all our students. Creates and maintains a positive team environment that displays high levels of team spirit, motivation and strong work ethics. Providing guidance and leadership for problems and questions. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential



Impressive communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Great communicator with the ability to effectively describe complicated concepts to different audiences. High soft skills in listening and communication and Proficient in time management. Must have to ability to engage trainees in discussion during the sessions. Excellent reading and comprehension skills as well as the ability to be an active listener. Creative and strategic thinker. Professional, have a positive "get it done" attitude and a strong work ethic. Strong people skills with empathy and compassion for all.

Desirable:



Self-starter and highly self-motivated; Critical thinking and problem solving. Conflict resolution experience. Adaptability and student focussed. Efficient with good administrative and organizational skills Good team building and management skills. Ability to maintain calm under pressure and tolerate stress.
