This means from April 2024 we intend to pay \xc2\xa312.40ph i.e. 40ph above the Scottish Government\xe2\x80\x99s committed rate. No previous experience in care is required as you will be provided with full training by our excellent and award-winning learning & development team prior to starting. This training initially consists of classroom-based sessions and e-learning as well as the opportunity to shadow current Support Practitioners in their day-to-day role and meet the people you will be supporting. Due to the nature of the role, we can only accept applications from male candidates. We have a housing support service in this area that we are recruiting for. We are looking for full-time workers to support a young male who is transitioning into his own home. You will support a young man with all aspects of daily living, as well as social and emotional support, tenancy issues, and support to access the local community and the resources on offer. Support will be on a 2:1 ratio and shift patterns will consist of day shift, night shift, and waken night. If this sounds like something you would love to be a part of, please do get in touch! Staff will provide, physical and emotional support, administering medication, personal care, recording running notes, supporting individuals to appointments moving & handling of persons, homecare, financial support, support with daily living tasks, community-based supports i.e. appointments and activities. On top of this training, we will also finance and support you to achieve your SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care in-house! Requirements: As a Support Practitioner you could be expected to work weekends, shift patterns and sleepovers if required. This will include, Full Time, Part time and Bank shifts. About the Role: Your responsibilities will depend on the needs of the individuals that you support and can include:

  • Social Support: Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various clubs and leisure activities such as day centres, bowling, cinema, swimming etc.
  • Medical Support: Administering and monitoring medication.
  • Personal Care: Assist people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, arranging visits with professionals such as dentists, doctors or opticians, assisting with incontinence care.
  • Practical Support: Helping people to maintain tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.
