We are currently looking to increase our staff resource at our Ashfield House & Newdyke Road Services based in Kirkintilloch and our Bearsden & Milngavie supported living services for Full Time and Bank members of staff. We support individuals who have Mental Health, Learning Disability, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Challenging behaviour, Older People (including dementia), Forensic support, Alcohol and Drug misuse support needs.
You do not need to have worked in care to apply as we will invest in your qualifications and provide full training through our award-winning learning & development team prior to starting.
About the Role:
Your responsibilities as a Support Practitioner could include:
\xc2\xb7 Social Support- Assisting individuals to engage with their communities by planning and attending outings to various clubs and leisure activities such as day centres, bowling, cinema, swimming etc.
\xc2\xb7 Medical Support- Administering and monitoring medication.
\xc2\xb7 Personal Care- Assist people to maintain their wellbeing by promoting their personal care which would include assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, arranging visits with professionals such as dentists, doctors or opticians, assisting with incontinence care.
\xc2\xb7 Practical Support- Helping people to maintain their tenancy by encouraging daily household tasks such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, shopping.
