Support / Deputy Manager

Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom

Job Description

Has your experience as a support worker given you an understanding of how a great team can really impact on the lives of the people you support? Are you ready for the next step in your social care career? We want to hear about your ideas and how you could put them into practice.

We are looking for a fun, energetic and flexible deputy to work alongside the Service Manager.

You\'ll be part of our friendly team of support workers based in Wheathampstead, a village located between St. Albans and Luton, where we support five adults aged 18 to 60 who each have a learning disability.

We have a lot of fun here! Everyone likes to get out and about as much as possible and we regularly go for walks and visit the cinema. You\'ll join in with other popular activities such as visiting the local zoo and the ice skating rink. Closer to home, we make the most of the scenic village with frequent shopping trips that normally end in a local coffee shop or pub.

At home, people enjoy sensory activities utilising our range of specialist equipment. Not everything is high tech though - sometimes you just can\'t beat reading a good story!

This is a full-time role and you\'ll have a visible presence over the shifts, working days, evenings, weekends, sleep ins and bank holidays.
