Job Description

We are recruiting for a multiple Queen\'s Award-winning engineering company, designing and manufacturing products for the commercial aerospace sector. The business is growing rapidly, and we are looking to recruit dynamic and experienced managers to complement the existing team.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about manufacturing and dedicated to producing high-quality products. You will work with a team of professionals to ensure that products are designed and produced efficiently, and on time.

You will need to be based on the Isle of Wight, as these roles will be worked across two sites at Calbourne and Newport and require you to be on site.

Hours: 37.5 per week and are flexible around your lifestyle

Salary \xc2\xa340,000 - \xc2\xa350,000 depending on experience

Experience in Aerospace, engineering, the motor industry or with a medical background is highly desired.

This is a senior level based job where you will be required to do the following:

- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and onboard reliable suppliers for electronic components and materials.
- Lead the supplier selection process, conducting evaluations, negotiating contracts, and establishing strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, production, and quality assurance teams, to align sourcing activities with project requirements and production schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Analyse market trends and industry dynamics to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and supplier consolidation.
- Optimise inventory management and implement strategies to reduce lead times and minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
- Ensure the team manages relationships with logistics providers and coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities to ensure timely and efficient material flow.
