Are you a Supply Chain Coordinator looking for a new role within a great team who delivers solutions for the largest retailers in the UK?

Overview:



The Supply Chain Coordinator is accountable for the daily management of the supply chain operations. This role involves the allocation and onboarding of new contractors, as well as liaising with Project Managers to understand project and labour requirements. The Supply Chain Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that supply chain activities align with project timelines and business needs. The role will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.
This is an office-based role, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:



Daily Supply Chain Management:

Oversee daily supply chain operations to ensure smooth and efficient processes.

Manage inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of necessary materials if sold as a package to contractors.

Contractor Allocation and Onboarding:

Allocate all workload to contractors daily and support the onboarding of new contractors to meet project demands.

Ensure that all contractors comply with company policies and legal requirements, keep tracking documentation up to date as standard and ensure compliance.

Project Coordination:

Liaise with Project Managers to understand project-specific requirements and labour needs.

Coordinate supply chain activities to support project timelines and deliverables.

Communication and Collaboration:

Maintain effective communication with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.

Collaborate with the Transport Manager to align supply chain and transportation logistics.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure all supply chain activities comply with legal and regulatory standards.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all supply chain transactions.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency.

Monitor supply chain performance metrics and report on key indicators.

Business Support and Flexibility:

Learn and provide support across other areas of the business as required.

Assist with transport allocations during peak and holiday periods.

Transport Allocations Coverage:

Develop a solid understanding of the transport allocation's function, including systems, processes, and coordination with logistics providers.

Be prepared to provide effective coverage of the transport allocations role during periods of peak trading and annual leave.

Work closely with the Transport Manager to gain ongoing knowledge and training in this area to ensure seamless support when needed.

Qualifications:



Proven experience in supply chain management or related field.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:



Experience in contractor management and onboarding to support the Supply Chain Senior Manager in recruitment of new contractors.

Knowledge of project management principles.
