What You'll Do



The main focus of this role is to provide efficient administrative support to our Supply Chain team.

To support the Head of Supply Chain and Supply Chain Managers, the role holder's main responsibility will be to provide effective administration in relation to:

maintaining the supplier information stored on the Company software to ensure it is complete, accurate and up-to-date and can be relied on by other users at all times, resolving supplier invoice queries in a timely manner, ensuring supply chain department communications are timely, professional and effective for supply chain management and to support supply chain users, and procuring compliant waste and resource management services that improve the Company's reputation on the best commercial terms and supports successful bidding for sales growth.
The Supply Chain Administrator will also support the department/business through providing administrative assistance with:

Assisting the Head of Supply Chain Manager and support the Supply Chain Managers Staying abreast of developments in the supply chain and waste management fields, particularly (without limitation) innovation in resource management, net zero, zero waste, circular economy and the regulatory environment and identify and communicate risks and opportunities arising Preparing and supporting the preparation of successful bids (including tenders, pricing, re-pricing) including (without limitation) by building successful relationships with all stakeholders and procuring high quality waste and resource management services and deliverables on best and favourable commercial terms Working closely with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for waste and resource management services Developing and maintaining a portfolio of skip suppliers to meet business requirements (Skip Desk) Resolving supply chain issues as they arise including invoice queries, service queries, sourcing new suppliers and innovation in the supply chain Complying with all regulatory requirements regarding the procurement of goods and services Building and maintaining strong relationships with supply chain partners while improving the Company's reputation in the waste and resource industry Continually reviewing supplier performance providing recommendations that will drive financial performance and providing added value Maintaining supplier database and assisting with the development and implementation of IT solutions to continually improve the Company software in relation to supply chain management Assisting with IT solutions and processes to continually improve supplier on-boarding including compliance on-boarding Managing the supplier portfolio end-to-end (from identification, on-boarding, monitoring, and termination), including by implementing, supervising, and maintaining Supplierzone (to automate aspects of the supplier relationships) Delivering agreed supply chain projects on time Supporting the Sales and Account Management teams with mobilising, re-mobilising or de-mobilising services as agreed with the customer Providing cover support in maintaining the team's compliance duties, including monitoring of the Compliance inbox, updating mandatory documents, and handling insurance claims Any other supply chain related duties reasonably required and within capability

About You



Skills



Proven administrative skills. Ability to be highly organised with strong time management. Excellent verbal and written communication. Highly numerate. Have a professional, polite and articulate manner at all times. An eye for detail and the drive to see a task through to its conclusion. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with a positive outlook, always willing to rise to the challenge and show initiative and creativity. Client focussed and ability to adopt a solutions-based approach. Self-confidence to build strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.

Experience



Working in a fast-paced administrative role. Microsoft office (excel in particular). Working with bespoke in-house IT systems.
Previous experience of working within the waste industry or a supply chain role is desirable but not essential for this role.
