About the Apprenticeship

Our Apprenticeship programmes have become well established over many years within our various sites in the UK, and we are proud to see the success and development of the employees who began their career on our apprenticeship programmes.

This apprenticeship programme is designed to develop you over 3 years to reach a nationally recognised qualification as a Supply Chain Practitioner. Once the course is complete you will be encouraged to apply for a position at one of our sites.

You will report directly to our Planning and Logistics Manager, who along with his team will invest time and effort in helping you make the most out of this opportunity. You will also have a dedicated coach who will help you succeed at work and at college.

What You Will Do

During your apprenticeship you will learn to work in an efficient and confidential way, and develop skills such as:

• Selecting suppliers and scheduling logistics in the supply chain
• Production planning and scheduling
• Warehouse and storage management
• Managing contracts in the supply chain
• Developing productive working relationships with colleagues
• Managing stock levels and analysing stock data
• Helping to improve overall performance
• Inventory management exercises and material audits
• Working with production Scheduling on planning converting lines and learn how to schedule a converting line
• Working with supply services on replenishment planning
• Being part of the daily direction setting meeting
• Promoting health and safety standards and principles of procurement
• Carrying out Risk Assessments of work areas

Who You Are

We keep our list of requirements short, but there are a few that you will need:

• You will have a minimum of 4 GCSE qualifications at standard grade C/grade 5 or above, including Maths and English
• You will be committed, focussed and keen to learn and develop
• Ability to be flexible and manage time effectively across multiple priorities
• You will demonstrate problem solving skills and resilience
• You will have a keen interest in data analytics with willingness to learn Power BI
• Confidence and ability to challenge status quo
• Clear and strong communication skills
• Be happy to work as part of a of a team
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages
