Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work as a Supplier Planner within the Industrial Policy, Global Supply Chain & Procurement (ISP) business here at MBDA!

Salary

: Circa 38,000 - 48,000depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working

: 3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance

: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:




As MBDA continues to work with the Operational Excellence processes, this opportunity plays a significant part in the development of our Supplier Planning activities, aligning us to the Oliver Wight Class A standards. You will increase the already close working relationships with Manufacturing Operations and gain knowledge around programmes as well being a key support to the procurement team. You'll have specific supplier category opportunities to drive improved delivery and inventory performance. OTD appreciation is key to this role and plays an important part of the planning activities.

What we're looking for from you:



Experience of working with an MRP (or similar) planning background within a manufacturing environment. The capability to understand errors in the data and know how to rectify them. Ideally experienced in SAP, although not imperative as training will be given. Experience of working with Air Supply would be a distinct advantage. Goal orientated with strong cultural awareness, excellent team working capabilities and able to drive key decisions through the supply base. Experience of working with suppliers on scheduled orders & fixed PO`s. Ideally with experience of both working with suppliers as well as within a manufacturing environment with an ability to negotiate and meet deadlines. An awareness and understand of key supply chain KPI`s. A continuous improvement mind-set and ability to bring new ideas and experiences to the role.

You will be a key member of the ISP-S sub-assemblies team and work with buyers, supply chain managers, Industrial engineers, sector leads, manufacturing planners as well as our supply chain excellence team.

Join the Supplier Planning Team, part of and supported by the broader ISP-S Team you will work very closely with the Buyers, Supply Chain Managers and Industrial Manufacturing Engineering Teams, mutually supporting each other to drive better supplier performance. This planning team are ideally placed to work closely with the Manufacturing Ops Team giving a unique opportunity to collaboratively work across Manufacturing, ISP and our Supply Base.
