Come and make a difference and be a valued member of our Medical Equipment Library Team.
In this role you will have joint responsibility for daily work and task allocation across a team of seven Healthcare Science Assistants, who deliver and collect equipment across the RUH site.
As part of your responsibilities you will be required to ensure adequate stocks of consumables and equipment are maintained within the department.
As well as allocating work using a computer-based system, the role includes the rostering of duties, managing, recording, arranging and ensuring that repairs and service of equipment under maintenance contracts takes place effectively.
We are looking for an individual who is a competent computer user, and who can work independently and competently in all aspects of the role, whilst also working in a highly cooperative manner with the second supervisor.
This position is within a busy department which requires an individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with staff across the trust at all levels as well as external service providers, on a face to face, telephone and e-mail basis.
The position involves use of Excel and Outlook (E-mail) systems and requires an individual with a good working knowledge of these systems
The main duties of the role include, but are not limited to;
Work allocation and planning staff work patterns
Use of Excel to record and track equipment issued and returned to the dept.
Reporting and monitoring equipment breakdowns to internal depts and external service providers
Stock control - Ensuring the department has adequate stocks of consumables to ensure effective, uninterrupted operation.
Raising equipment, repair and supplies orders using the Trusts Procurement system.
