We have a fantastic opportunity for students to join our Contract Testing Services business in the UK for 3 months over the summer from June 2nd, 2025 until August 29th, 2025. Students will collaborate with teams across various parts of the business, gaining meaningful industry experience. Summer students will get the opportunity to undertake various tasks whilst collaborating with our colleagues across our departments. The students will be able to learn on the job, developing practical skills and personal competencies, building relationships with colleagues across our business.

Your role

Your role involves creating and presenting reports on lean initiatives and their impacts while consolidating various data reports into meaningful datasets. It utilizes LEAN methodologies like 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance value-added activities. Collaboration with inventory management personnel is key to understanding critical processes where data insights can be applied, such as requisition picking and lab order distribution. Additionally, the role includes planning and strategizing inventory location layout and mapping, as well as executing inventory storage strategies in partnership with inventory management teams.

Who You Are

Degree/MSc Student, or recent graduate in accounting looking for work experience. Confident with data analysis, identify trends and making recommendations. Proactive, organised, and able to work independently. Strong problem solving skills/ability to think outside the box Collaborative and able to consult and interact with colleagues. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
