Student Wellbeing Advisor (Ref. No. A919)
Full Time/Permanent/Aberdeen City Campus
Salary: \xc2\xa328,392.79 - \xc2\xa332,476.22 per annum
This is a key role within the Student Advice and Support Team. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework to ensure a comprehensive approach to student health and wellbeing and continued student support.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting student mental health and wellbeing through 1:1 appointments, in addition to liaising with a range of stakeholders to facilitate cross college events, workshops and initiatives aimed at promoting student wellbeing and identifying emerging mental health issues. You will also further develop engagement with vulnerable groups (incl. Care Experienced, student carers & estranged students) through proactive initiatives to promote positive mental health and wellbeing, with a particular focus on social activities to reduce feelings of isolation and create a sense of belonging.
You will need to have an effective range of communication and organisation skills and have a proactive attitude to working alongside students, the Students\' Association, external partners and staff of the College.
Critical to this will be your \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude and commitment to improving student wellbeing, with the ability to demonstrate an understanding of anxiety, depression and other emotional difficulties and mental disorders and how they might present in people.
