Salary - \xc2\xa322,681 - \xc2\xa324,533 per annum (pro-rata if part time) together with NEST pension benefits

Hours of work: Part time 21 hours per week.

Contract: Permanent

Location \xe2\x80\x93 Singleton Campus Office core opening hours 10am-4pm.

Education Services will enable and deliver, where appropriate, institution wide change, affecting improvements in key strategic areas to enhance the Swansea student experience. The postholder will report to the Student Records Manager and will be responsible for following:

The development and delivery of services

  • Make positive contributions to the development, delivery and monitoring of services to enable effective provision of a high-quality student experience.
  • Maintain and make positive contributions to procedures and systems relating to student record and student finance.
Specific Duties * Responsible for verifying details on change of circumstance applications and recording course transfers, suspensions, withdrawals and module selection.
  • Respond to enquiries requiring specialist knowledge in connection with academic records and student finance, using effective communication skills to deal tactfully, efficiently and effectively with people at all levels, including students, academic and administrative staff.
  • Responsible for verifying UK/Irish Right to Student (RTS) documentation.
  • Responsible for updating and validating student personal and address details.
  • Provide support regarding enrolment, module, RTS, student finance and changes of circumstances processes in accordance with University regulation.
  • Assist with student finance record keeping and providing support for Student Loans Company reporting duties.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate University student database records to ensure the University can conduct its business and return accurate information to statutory bodies and agencies concerned with Higher Education, for example, HESA and HEFCW.
  • Correcting and validating data by running exception reports.
  • Processing of External Enrolment and Repeat Module requests.
  • Provide standard letters as appropriate or more personalised and detailed letters and emails.
  • Deal with queries sensitively and diplomatically in line with GDPR and University values.
Management Information
  • Use exception reports to highlight issues with student records, course and module data.
  • Responsibility for correcting data included in the submission of data collections to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), the Student Loans Company (SLC) and funding and research councils.
  • Provide cover for the team where needed (annual leave, absence).
Network and Engagement
  • Engage with student and staff acting as a point of contact for the team within the University.
  • To work in partnership with colleagues in professional services, faculties, the Students\xe2\x80\x99 Union and Student Representatives etc to support the delivery of efficient operations and effective student record fees and funding services.
