Grade UE06: 34,132 to 39,355 per annum



CAHSS/School of Divinity



Full time: 35 hours per week



Fixed term: 13 months



The Opportunity:



Student Advisers provide a first contact point for students within their School, providing guidance and support, including additional assistance where needed, to those navigating the University support systems. Working closely with academic and professional services teams, the role is an advocate for students, their School, and programme, ensuring parity of experience for all students.


This post is full-time (35 hours per week), and fixed term for 13 months (September 2025 to October 2026). We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.


The salary for this post is

34,132 to 39,355

per annum.



Your skills and attributes for success:



Knowledge of and sensitivity to the complex areas of student wellbeing and support Experience of working independently and ability to prioritise workloads in the face of conflicting demands Excellent interpersonal skills - remaining calm under pressure, being able to provide a safe and welcoming space for students in distress Excellent active listening skills and communication skills Constructive team player, demonstrating ability to work collaboratively, with a strong commitment to equality and inclusion Ability to understand the need for boundary setting when working with students
