Strategic Procurement Manager



PURPOSE OF THE JOB:



Collaboration with the Inventory team to ensure that products are controlled, ordered and recorded correctly.

Collaboration with the Inventory team on aged stock and process to move through the business

Leading the end-to-end procurement process, working with the business to develop and implement contract strategies to ensure that all procurement is compliant and delivers value for money.

Identifying and researching new suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships

Developing and maintaining effective procurement policies and procedures, as well as monitoring and evaluating the performance of suppliers to mitigate risk.

Good commercial understanding of contracts and contract clauses. Ability to review and negotiate contracts independently.

Identifying saving opportunities that deliver improvement working with stakeholders to continually drive and improve business results

Developing and implementing strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing product and maintaining stock levels

MAIN ASSIGNMENTS:



Define, develop, and implement a contracting strategy plan for IMServ that mitigates supply market risk and maximises commercial advantage.

Identifying cost saving opportunities and improving creditor days

Manage and define maintaining and improving the IMServ procurement process and associated systems.

Undertake negotiations with suppliers ensuring best value for money.

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.

Develop and maintain a strategic partnership programme for strategic suppliers.

Provide strategic oversight of supplier performance in line with agreed contractual arrangements.

Carry out analysis of market trends and pricing to identify cost saving opportunities.

Develop, implement and own any Procurement related policies and procedures.

Support policy management and control in all areas that cover any finance, fleet or DOA.

Prepare ongoing management reports on procurement activities and present these to senior leaders as required.

Provide support and facilitation to business areas undertaking procurement activity.

Accountability for supplier management on products and services with focus on delivery, product availability, SLA and pricing.

Manage the overall fleet with the Fleet Manager.

ESG Supply Chain lead- IMServ ESG Steering Committee member- delivering the IMServ ESG strategy for supply chain and supporting on all ESG goals

Customer tenders- supporting the Commercial team responding to Customer tender questions as required

Audits- participating as supply chain lead in Customer and Industry audits as required

ACCOUNTABILITIES:



A comprehensive procurement strategy that meets the business needs and objectives.

Fully compliant contracts process that delivers safeguarding for IMServ.

Working with Legal to ensure that internal stakeholders are aware of the contract signing process.

Policies that govern any purchases, internal expenses and support for the Delegation of Authority.

Detailed understanding of current strategic contract and strategic supplier performance across the organisation

High levels of internal customer satisfaction from business areas.

Delivery of cost savings and improvement in payment terms across historical contract value.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:



Technical Skills, Knowledge & Experience


Degree in business, supply chain management, logistics or Finance

CIPS qualified (Chartered Inst of Purchasing and supply) Chartered status or equivalent.

Proven lead procurement experience in previous role in similar sized business

Knowledge of procurement processes and procedures, understanding of different types of procurement and contracting strategies

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Strong analysis and problem solving - can identify patterns and interpret data, a keen eye for detail.

Wider experience in supply chain and procurement functions

Skills & Attributes



Ability to be agile and work at pace with strong leadership

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Time management skills

Understanding of procurement software and functionality

Experience in a Procurement and supportive supply chain role.

Pay: 84,000.00-89,000.00 per year
