Stirling Council\'s Sustainable Development Team is recruiting for a Strategic Energy Project Officer. This is a new post which has been made necessary by the Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategies (Scotland) Order 2022. One of the most scenic areas in Scotland, Stirling provides unique opportunities to be involved across a range of energy project work (renewable and low carbon heat, power and energy efficiency) within both urban and rural environments, including off gas grid areas and large areas within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. This is a full-time post of 35 hours per week for a highly motivated individual who is well-organised, has excellent project management skills and is able to work as part of a team and organise/prioritise their own workload. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on Stirling and Clackmannanshire\'s Regional Energy Masterplan, largely around the data management, modelling, and some project delivery. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and work with a wide range of stakeholders in the public, private and third sectors. You will also be expected to work well with others across a variety of teams within the Council and across local communities. Additionally you will educated to degree or equivalent level in a relevant field, with project management experience. Clear enthusiasm and passion for the role is expected and it is essential that you are a self-motivated and well organised individual.
