Stockperson / General Farm Worker
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic pig stockperson and general farm worker as a permanent position to join our family farm, If you have a passion for farm work and pigs and an understanding of pig management this could be the job for you. We have 3500 bed and breakfast pigs as well as roughly 1200 acres of arable, crops consist of winter wheat spring and winter barley, oil seed rape and vining peas. Previous experience working with pigs is preferred and an ability to work independently and as part of a small team, A forklift certificate is required and having workshop skills would be an advantage, good health and reliability also. Resposibilitys include the day to day running of the B&B pig enterprise, feed ordering, bedding up, medicating if necessary, sorting, pressure washing etc, maintaining clean and organised livestock areas. Operating machinery and equipment as needed. We run mainly John Deere tractors and the job will include working land depending on season. - Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
