Static Orthopaedic Physiotherapist

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Wexham Orthopaedic therapy team as a static Band 5 Physiotherapist. This is post is fixed for 9 months to cover maternity leave.



The physiotherapist will work within our established team and receive regular support, supervision and training.



To provide a high standard physiotherapy service in assessing and treating patients who may have a complex presentation



To supervise and teach technicians/assistants and students and be involved in teaching MDT staff



To participate in CPD and other departmental activities



To work across day surgery, inpatient and day surgery units



To work flexibly across an extended seven day service, covering 08:00 - 16:00 including 1 in 4 weekends (Either Saturday or Sunday)

To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work, including the management of patients in your care



To ensure a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management and support non qualified staff to deliver safe and effective care



To work across Inpatient Orthopaedic services (day surgery/inpatient)



To maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of care for this group of patients by providing comprehensive assessment; treatment plans and undertaking joint treatment sessions as indicated
