Ableworld UK is looking for an additional Stairlift Engineer / Installer to cover Newport/Cardiff/Bridgend and surrounding area based from our stores.

Experience with stairlifts is not essential, as you will be fully trained in the methods and procedures required; however, a mechanical or electrical background would be advantageous.
You will be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new working methods. This is a hands-on role, and you will be processing stock and deliveries received. Therefore, the ability to lift and handle heavy items is essential.
Duties will include, but not limited to: -
Offering a full customer service experience from quote to Install/repair/service and maintain Stairlifts (straight and curved)
Visiting customers in their homes to provide advice, assess and quotes on our stairlift products
Installation of standard and bespoke stairlifts
Attending customer callouts for repair and servicing of products
Checking deliveries and reasonable maintenance of stock
Providing an out-of-hours call-out service on a rota basis (for which a generous bonus is given)
You will be proactive and have: -
Good communication and customer service skills to engage with customers and advise them of the correct stairlift to suit their needs
Problem-solving skills
Excellent organisation skills
Computer knowledge would be an advantage, and a willingness to learn new technology
Experience working as part of a team and independently
Flexible and mature approach to work
A compassionate nature as we provide a service to vulnerable or elderly customers
A full driving licence is
essential
for this role
, and an enhanced DBS disclosure will be required (Ableworld UK will cover the cost).
