Job Description

Due to the excessive growth of Mercer PME LTD, we wish to expand our engineering team for both workshop and on-site fitting in industrial Factories throughout N.I.

This position will entail your ability to create Stainless Steel Assemblies, Structures or components using engineering drawings through hand drawings or Solidworks 3D rendered drawings as well as the installations on-site. Additionally, the Quality of work must be checked upon completion of the job through the use of personal and authoritative quality checks.

Requirements of Work

.Must hold a engineering qualification in Fabrication or mechanical engineering.

Must adhere to all health and safety requirements throughout all sites currently work for as well our own Follow Job Cards with details of job and completion requirements Maintain your work area by tidying your work area whenever possible Must have experience with machinery such as guillotine and hydraulic brake press etc
Skills and Qualities

Must work well as a team or with others Be competent / Experienced with work on-site Be Fluent in English in both written and oral communication Have problem-solving skills for when issues arise Must have attention to detail of work for quality
Overall criteria of workmanship

Full Drivinglicense for use of company vehicles for on-site work Use of interpreting engineering drawings supplied Ability to work on your own and use your initiative Must have 5 years of experience within this type of environment Competency using a range of machinery found within an engineering/fabrication workshop
Hours of work

40 hours plus Overtime per week Monday - Thursday 7.30 - 4.30 Friday 7.30 - 1.30
Salary / Payee

Pay Received Thursday weekly Pay increase over time with the company

Summary

As a Stainless Steel Fabricator / TIG Welder, you will be integral to our manufacturing team, responsible for fabricating high-quality stainless steel components. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in welding, fabrication, and power tools to ensure precision and efficiency in your work. Your premium expertise in TIG welding will be essential for meeting our quality standards. Additionally, strong communication skills and mechanical knowledge will aid in collaborating effectively with team members and interpreting technical drawings. Responsibilities

Utilize hand and power tools to fabricate stainless steel components according to specifications. Perform TIG welding to join metal parts, ensuring high-quality welds and adherence to safety standards. Interpret technical drawings and schematics of the fabrication processes. Conduct mechanical assembly and basic math calculations to ensure precision in measurements. Communicate effectively with team members and maintain a valid driving license for potential on-site work.
