Staff Software Engineer
to work
in our Wimborne, UK office
to serve as a core team member of the growing R&D team.
A Day in the Life:
The
Staff Software Engineer
will actively contribute as a Software Engineer within a SCRUM team and as a cross-functional team member with other disciplines including Hardware Engineering and Laboratory teams to plan, document, and implement the design of new systems, components, and features into new, current, and legacy software platforms supporting the Cell Line Development workflow As a Staff Software Engineer you will develop new software features and/or applications within an Agile Software development team. You will maintain and expand unit testing coverage as appropriate to ensure the stability of software platforms and troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve bugs in both established and growing software applications
What we are looking for in you:
Master's or Equivalent Level Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Science field OR a Bachelor's Level Degree with significant commercial experience in the same market segment and technology stack
10+ years of commercial .NET software experience with software and hardware platforms in a regulated domain
Experience working within ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
Expertise in software architecture and design patterns
Strong understanding of usability concepts
Significant experience with MVVM UIs, WPF, Web Services, and MS SQL Backend systems
Significant experience with multithreading and asynchronous programming
Significant experience in Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar work item management tools
Significant experience with Git for source control management
Experience working with Serial Communications Protocols (RS232, RS485, USB, GigE, etc)
Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience working within both Agile & Waterfall Frameworks
