Band 5 Nurse - Willow C/CCU Up to 112.5 hours available



We are looking for experienced or newly Qualified nurses to join our friendly team. We provide high quality care to cardiac patients both within our coronary care unit and general cardiology step downward. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in cardiac care wishing to gain experience in the care of patients experiencing acute MI, heart failure, and arrhythmias along with other cardiac conditions. We are a friendly supportive team offering opportunities to rotate between the three areas on cardiology CCU, Willow C and The Heart Centre



Work as part of the team to provide high quality nursing care for cardiology and medical patients in your care, supervise healthcare assistance, junior staff and students on the ward. Communicate effectively with patients' relatives and the MDT. Assist the senior nursing team within the coronary care team to care for level 2 patient's. Analyse cardiac rhythms on telemetry system and bedside monitors.



The successful applicants will be required to move departments once completion of the maternity cover.



Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care for patients within all of the acute

cardiac care areas, providing the prescribed nursing care without supervision.

Contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing practice in the acute

cardiac areas.

The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for New to registration Nurses Midwives and Allied Health Professionals.



Registered Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.

Please note the cost of the DBS check is increasing from 2 nd December and the new cost will be



Standard DBS check 21.50, Enhanced DBS check 49.50 + any admin costs.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:



Standard Check:

18 + Administration cost of 3.85 = 21.85. Deducted at 6.85 from 1st month salary and 5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.



Enhanced Check:

38 + administration cost of 3.90 = 41.90. Deducted at 11.90 from 1st month salary and 10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
