We welcome motivated, enthusiastic and innovative Nurses to join our ED team.We have a workforce model focused on providing safe and effective patient care, leadership and development of the nursing team. You will be offered a period of supernumerary duty as well as training from a dedicated team and support and guidance through acclimatization and preceptorship.Full and part time hours are available; you will be required to work an internal rotation pattern covering day and night shifts over 7 days including weekends and public holidays.The University Hospital would be happy to support potential candidates to work a paid clinical shift within the Emergency Department on a supernumerary basis. If you wish to the opportunity to have an overview of our Major Trauma Centre, please contact Barbara Walsh within the Nurse Bank who will support you in this 01782 764088.Main duties of the jobIn this post you will be responsible for providing on going care of patients and providing an effective care pathway within the Emergency department.We are committed to developing a culture in line with our values that improves quality and enhances the patient experience, and you will play a vital part in developing new ways of working to achieve this goal.Candidates ether need to be on the NMC register as an Adult or Mental Health Nurse and have at least 12 months experience in an acute hospital. You must be flexible to the demands of the service and be able to work within a multidisciplinary team within a large, busy and evolving department.
